The street and the photograph

Public building footprints, terrain and 2025 aerial imagery provide the surrounding city. The walking corridor adds source-based walking surfaces and a LiDAR-derived bridge deck. Some connecting sections follow the existing terrain where sidewalk polygons are missing. The dates and coverage of those photographs vary; they are shown at each stop.

The surrounding buildings remain simplified GIS extrusions. A reference photograph does not establish a complete measured façade or a panorama. Unseen sides and missing details are not invented.

Photo & model sources

Source details load with the walking route.

Baseline: 2023 City building footprints, 2025 City aerial imagery and USGS 3DEP terrain. The bridge deck uses 2017 LiDAR. The baseline terrain capture year is unverified. A small documented DEM repair uses a coarser source with interpolation adjusted to intact patch edges.

Walk at your own pace

Use W A S D or the arrow keys to walk. Drag to look around, or select Look around for mouse capture. On touchscreens, use the direction buttons and drag the view.

Previous stop and Next stop move you to a checked point on the route. Open a photograph to see its original view, capture date and license. The gallery uses the same page and pauses walking.

The route is a model for exploration, not current navigation or an accessibility survey. Immersive VR requires a supported browser and headset and still needs device testing.
